Uni-Roll-Decor is a roller applied high build, heavy duty applied finish for exterior and interior protection and textured beauty.
Description:
Uni-Roll-Decor is an acrylic bound
texture coating designed to be rolled for a smooth to rough texture or to be
rolled and then hand effected to give various patterns of exceptional
beauty. This product may also be spray applied for a smoother
texture. A practically unlimited range of full colour to pastel shades are
available.
Grades:
Uni-Roll-Decor is available in 3
grades of finish e.g. fine, coarse and spray on. A practically unlimited range
of full colour to pastel shades are available. Minimum coverage of 12 square
metres per pail is usual. Coverage varies with surface effect
required.
Purpose:
One coat for full weather protection.
Uni-Roll-Decor protects
and decorates interior and exterior walls and ceilings, balustrades, beams,
columns and infill panels as well as entrances and lobbies. Uni-Roll-Decor is suitable for
use over plaster, brick, cement, biocks, asbestos cement sheets, aerated
concrete and cement render.
Reason for Uni-Roll-Decor:
Uni-Roll-Decor
allows for a smoother finish to be achieved over irregular or roughly finished
Surfaces. Shrinkage cracks on the surface are covered. A one coat
application offers the architect and builder a long life heavy duty coating
aided by coating thickness. Due to the non absorbency of Uni-Roll-Decor dirt pick up is minimal.
The range of Uni-Decor products are designed to be self cleaning with the effects of
weathering, hence keeping the high build coatings appearance like new for years
to come.
Performance:
Uni-Roll-Decor exhibits excellent durability and colour retention under most
climatic conditions. A minimum protective and decorative service life of 10
years depending on coating thickness is provided.
Colour Retention:
Uni-Roll-Decor is pigmented to colour only with
natural earth pigments or light fast pigments. The coatings containing these
pigments exhibit excellent colour retentions and
durability.
Composition:
Acrylic dispersions, quality graded
sands and aggregates together with non absorbent extenders. Held together by the
acrylic emulsion giving a strong, tightly bound product with exceptional
adhesion to good and difficult substrates. Due to the strong binding power of
the acrylic a high impact resistant coating results.
Biological Resistance:
Resistance to attack from bacteria and
fungi is provided. This product being a water based acrylic system offers safe
handling and toxicity properties.
Fire
Resistance:
The coating when subjected to the
Early Fire Hazard Tests - Australian Standard AS 1530 Part 3, 1976 meets the
strictest
standards
Water
Resistance:
The coating is formulated with a water
vapour permeability factor to allow water vapour from the substrate to leave
unhindered, but the coating film forms a barrier to external moisture. The
coating is impervious to rain and moisture and has a resistance to diffusion
factor of u = 250 +
50.
Application Details:
Substrate
Preparation: To ensure full performance is achieved, surface preparation must be
carried out to the maker's recommendations. Any crumbling loose or damaged
plaster must be removed or patched and repaired prior to coating.
Ensure
all surfaces are free of grease, oils, dirt and dust. Prepainted surfaces must
have flaking paint wire brushed back to a sound substrate.
Application:
Uni-Roll-Decor is applied
as a one coat high build product over stable external and internal surfaces The
protective coating is touch dry within 4 hours under standard conditions of 230C
at 50% relative humidity, and is serviceable under normal conditions within 24
hours.
Application should not be carried out under excessively cold
conditions (below 5oC) or in hot windy conditions (above
35oC).
Supply:
Uni-Roll-Decor
is supplied in 15 litre pails and where large volumes are required 200 litre
drums of Uni-Roll-Decor are available for delivery to building sites. The product must be
protected from excessive heat and cold during transit and
storage.

Unitex 110 is applied with a roller then peaks are
smoothed with a steel trowel.
